David F. Cunningham is a graduate of Stanford University (B.A.) and Hastings College of Law (J.D.). He has practiced law since 1969 and is admitted to practice in the States of New Mexico and New York as well as before the United States Supreme Court and numerous circuit and district courts. He practices primarily in the areas of Civil and Criminal Litigation.
From 1969 through 1983, Mr. Cunningham served in several capacities for the New York County District Attorney, including Chief of the Investigative Division. During this period he also served as Chief of Trials and Chief Assistant District Attorney in the Office of the Special Narcotics Prosecutor.
He was Counsel to the Zuni Tribe from 1987 to 2004 and has been Counsel to the Oliver Seth Inn of the Court for Northern New Mexico since its inception in 1996.
In 2007 Mr. Cunningham was one of 113 lawyers in the country chosen by BTI Consulting Group as a BTI Client Service All-Star based upon a survey of corporate counsel. Mr. Cunningham also has been AV Preeminent peer review rated by Martindale-Hubbell for more than 20 years.
Outside of work, Mr. Cunningham is an avid runner, fly fisherman, and traveler.
